The challenge of balancing our busy work and personal lives can sometimes leave us feeling stressed out or overwhelmed, impacting our mood, wellbeing and work performance. This four-week online mindfulness training course is specifically designed to help learners manage, and thrive in, their demanding professional lives - benefitting them in both the workplace and at home.
Over four weeks this online training course provides learners with a comprehensive introduction to mindfulness and a range of effective stress busting tools. The course helps learners to:
- Understand the human brain's natural response to difficult situations - helping to answer the question of why we get stressed.
- Recognise how we can 'think' ourselves into feeling stressed or unhappy, and what we can do to avoid this.
- Understand and apply the practices of Mindfulness, including meditation, which are scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve wellbeing and enhance performance.
- Acquire tools and ideas to help calm the mind and better respond to stressful or challenging situations.
- Develop an ongoing and sustainable mindfulness and stress management practice, which will maintain and build on the course's benefits far beyond the end of week 4.

This online mindfulness training involves around an hour of instruction each week, delivered as succinct video lessons which can be accessed on PC, tablet or phone.
Week 1: Attention & Stress
How stress affects our ability to focus and how our tendency to mind wander and worry can increase our stress levels

Week 3: Thinking & Stress
How, when we are stressed, our thoughts can run away with us and make us feel worse; we share tools to help you manage this

Week 2: The Body & Stress
Looking at the link between our bodies and stress, and how changing what we do with our bodies can help us to feel calmer

Week 4: Attitude & Stress
Looking at ways of supporting our wellbeing by changing our approach to ourselves, others and our difficulties

What does the course cover?
The course draws on current psychological research coupled with our experience of delivering mindfulness training and stress management coaching to organisations and individuals. By taking this training you will:
- Gain insight into how the human brain's natural response to difficult situations can often cause stress and unhappiness
- Learn a wide range of approaches to stress management, helping you to reduce stress, increase resilience, feel calmer and be happier
- Learn about the principles and practices of mindfulness, including meditation - a practice which has been proven to beneficially change the structure of our brains
- Understand and practice a number of "Stress Busting Tools" which are proven to help you feel calmer and more resourceful; providing you with techniques for long-term stress reduction as well as short-term "emergency" help for when you are faced with a pressurised situation
Who is the course for?
Anyone who wants to feel calmer, less stressed and be more 'in control' - at work or at home.
The course is suitable for beginners and you do not need any prior knowledge or experience of mindfulness or stress management techniques.
How long is the training?
The course runs over four weeks, with around an hour of video-based training content each week. We also ask that learners do 10 to 15 minutes of practice most days.

- Weekly home practice exercises to help you develop calmer ways of thinking and behaving
